Desert Heat is only a few weeks away! We are happy to announce that both Discount Rocketry and What's Up Hobbies will be on-site again this year to provide attendees with all thier rocketry needs!
We also have commitments from several food vendors to keep everyone well fed, including El Saguarito, The Chill Shack, Isabella's Ice Cream, and Darrell Dewoody.
Your membership in the Southern Arizona Rocketry Association this year has supported our mission of promoting the safe enjoyment of model and high power rocketry; encouraging interest by youth in science and engineering; increasing awareness of the hobby among the general public; and enjoying the sheer fun if it.
We saw many accomplishments in 2012. Members donated countless hours working with youth groups, many highlighted on our Web site, and participated in educational science events. The launch range received numerous improvements for safety and functionality. Please take a few minutes right now to renew your membership for 2013, or you can renew at the next launch.
You will save the $5 range fee at every club launch, as well as receiving a $5 discount on Desert Heat range fees. Your membership pays for itself if you attend less than half of our launches in 2013!
SARA held a general membership meeting after the December 15, 2012 launch to elect officers to its Board of Directors for 2013.
