SARA would like to send a special "thank you" to member Allen Coleman. Allen doesn't live in Arizona, but is a proud SARA member all the same. He even made a special effort to attend our October night launch, traveling from out-of-state to do so, and gave us a donation to help with the upkeep of our equipment. To Allen, and all of our members who keep this club thriving, we salute you!
SARA Board meetings are always open to all SARA members. Anyone who wishes to attend, including anyone with issues they would like to bring before the Board, is welcome to do so.
The question at a July rocket launch in Tucson isn't "Will it be hot?", but "How hot will it be?" This year wasn't too bad. The morning broke to mid-level clouds, relieving rocketeers from the direct rays of the sun, at least for a little while. Even after the sun came out, the temperatures weren't as bad as one would expect. The result was a great day of flying.
