Vail School District Esmond Station will host a student STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Camp and has asked SARA to conduct a model rocket fly event as part of their camp! Student rockets will have been built the day before.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ASSIST STUDENTS BUILDING THEIR ROCKETS, please register for the September 23rd BUILD EVENT.
SARA needs volunteers to assist with this event.
Students have built Balsa Machining Service "School Rocket" kits and will be flying them with Estes 1/2A6-2 motors. Volunteers will assist students with launching their rockets during an approximately 75 to 90 minutes long session that will include rocket prep and a safety brief. Launch equipment will be provided. Volunteers need only to arrive with their knowledge of the hobby and a willingness to work with the next generation of rocketeers!
Location = Esmond Station K-8 School. 9400 S. Atterbury Wash Way, Tucson.
Launch session = September 24th, 8:30 - 10:00am
