Membership
Your membership in the Southern Arizona Rocketry Association enables SARA to continue providing a safe environment for rocketry activities, improving and expanding the launch equipment, the facility at TIMPA, and at launch sites elsewhere in Southern Arizona.
In addition, it enables us to initiate and expand public communication and outreach programs promoting the safe enjoyment of model and high power rocketry, encouraging interest by youth in science and engineering and increasing awareness of the hobby among the general public that benefits both SARA and the community.
Dues
As a SARA Family member, you will save the $10 range fee at every club launch, as well as receiving a $5 per day discount on Desert Heat range fees. Your membership pays for itself if you attend less than half of our launches during the year!
- SARA Family membership dues is $50/year for adults or families with adults who fly.
- SARA Associate Membership dues is $25/year for adults or families who wish to support SARA and remain engaged with the club.
- Associate members are not eligible for waived range fees.
- Associate members are non-voting members and may not serve on the Board of Directors in any capacity!
- SARA membership is free for families whose only fliers are children under 18.
- Children can be SARA members if their parents fill out the application form.
Range Fees
The range fees at monthly club launches are free for family and junior members, and $10/day for associate and non-member adults, and free for children.
