Spectator Registration
Spectator Registration permits access to parking area and port-a-potty only. Launch Range Fee not included.
Trailer Pickup
We need 1 person with a Class 2 trailer hitch to tow the trailer, and another to help move the trailer out of the TIMPA barn at 7:15 am.
Trailer Return
We need 1 person with a Class 2 trailer hitch to tow the trailer, and another to help move the trailer back into the TIMPA barn after the launch.
Volunteer: LCO
Launch Control Officer is responsible for opening and closing the range for launch operations. 60 minute shift.
Volunteer: Pad Manager
The Pad Manager assists with pad assignment and loading rockets onto pads, as well as other tasks as needed. 30 minute shift minimum.
Volunteer: Photographer
We often have a launch photographer on site!
Volunteer: RSO
Range Safety Officer has the absolute authority to authorize flight of a model rocket, and over other range safety matters. The RSO's ruling is final. 60 minute shift.

Assist RSO in inspecting rockets prior to flight

RAIN, RAIN WON'T MAKE US GO AWAY!

You Are Invited... To SARA's Rescheduled October launch at the SARA TIMPA launch site near Picture Rocks! Rain cancelled the Friday October 30th launch, so we are conducting it a week later, on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6th.

THIS IS A 2-DAY LAUNCH! REGISTER FOR THE FRIDAY PORTION OF THE LAUNCH HERE! (If you are attending Saturday as well, please register for the Saturday portion of the launch.)

IF YOU REGISTERED FOR THE OCTOBER 30TH LAUNCH, YOU REMAIN REGISTERED FOR THIS LAUNCH.

LAUNCH PLAN:

FRIDAY:

3 - 4:00pm = SET UP! (Please plan to arrive in time help set up the range)

4 - 6pm = VOLUNTEER LAUNCH! If you help set up, you get to launch. If you don't help, you get to watch.

6 - 8pm = Dinner Break: Share your food potluck style with fellow rocketeers.

8 - 10pm = Night Launch. All are invited to participate in this launch.

CAMPING (tent and RV) OVER NIGHT AT NO ADD'L CHARGE!

SATURDAY:

7 - 12pm = Model, mid-power and high power launches.

12 - 1pm = Tear down! (Please plan to remain at the launch to help tear down the range)

The usual high power waiver will be in place: 4,500' AGL

Pre-registration is required.
Attendance will be granted on a first come, first served basis, so sign up as soon as you can.
There is a waitlist available, so if you make a reservation and can't attend, please cancel your reservation up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund so someone else can use your spot.
Sign up for a volunteer task (task list on the registration page) to work for an hour during the launch to help keep our launch running smoothly.
You must be qualified to serve as LCO or RSO, but the other positions are available to anyone.
Launch operations will cease, if there is not sufficient volunteers!
Public Health precautions in currently effect include:
- If you or anyone in your family are sick or may have been exposed to someone who's sick, stay home.

As always, while a specific waiver altitude and motor limit is expected, field and sky conditions at flight time may dictate restricted operations. Be sure to wear sunscreen, a hat, long pants and long sleeves, closed toe shoes, plenty of water, and always recover rockets with a partner. Watch out for gopher holes, snakes, and other desert hazards when recovering rockets.
